RAB First Recipients of The John Sykes Foundation’s Covid-19 Relief Grant

The John Sykes Foundation launched The Covid-19 Relief Fund in June 2021, its project to donate 50 £1,000 grants to local Charities and Groups in Reading who have been heavily disrupted by Covid-19. It is with our great pleasure to announce that on 23rd June 2021 we became the very first recipients of this new fund.

The John Sykes Foundation were extremely impressed by the continued work that we have carried out during the pandemic, utilising our skills and resources as best as possible, and the grant was awarded to further fund the work the outreach service does.

We were very lucky for John Sykes himself to visit us at Walford Hall and to present us with a cheque as pictured.

We could not be more grateful for this very generous grant, it will have a deep impact on the important work we continue to do for those living with sight loss in Reading. We would like to thank everyone at the John Sykes foundation who made this special opportunity possible.
