RAB thanks Maverick Properties for their support.

Maverick Properties' logo

Maverick Properties' logoThe compliments are flowing for the new-look Walford Hall! Service users tell us the new reception area makes it easier for them to orient themselves in the building and that they love the new open and uncluttered layout of the main hall.

Maverick Properties Ltd demolished our Reading Room to create the reception area and build a studio for Reading’s Talking Newspaper. They replaced the stage with a storage room to tidy away our chairs and tables when not in use, and moved and adapted an existing sideboard to declutter the route to the garden and provide a servery for refreshments.

Behind the scenes, they knocked through a store room and cramped office to create a bright and smart workspace and meeting room for staff, volunteers and trustees.

Maverick were fantastic to work with and their attention to detail means the end result has exceeded our expectations. They wanted to give back to the Reading community so delivered all the work at cost price, giving us a high quality professional finish at a charity friendly price. We are very grateful to them for making this project possible.

We will be holding a grand reopening in the autumn but can’t resist sharing a few sneak peeks now –  for more examples of Maverick Properties’ work please visit their website https://www.maverickproperties.co.uk/
