RAB is looking for a fundraiser to join the team
We’re Hiring!

Reading Association for the Blind is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced fundraiser to join our small, friendly charity
RAB’s fundraiser plays a vital role in the charity. Our day-to-day income does not cover our running costs so we are reliant on our fundraiser to secure additional funding through grants, donations, corporate partnerships, legacy giving, major donors, and other fundraising activities.
Our fundraiser is the ‘face’ of the charity, and needs excellent networking skills. Candidates should either have experience of managing and motivating volunteers or other supervisory experience plus personal volunteering experience.
RAB uses Microsoft Office 365 and applicants should be comfortable using 365 apps. Familiarity with CharityLog is an advantage but not essential, as is experience of running social media accounts and editing web pages.
This role is home-based but will require some travel to appointments and meetings with colleagues and volunteers at our building in central Reading. The building’s hot-desk facilities will be available to the fundraiser if required. The building is used by RAB three days a week (Tues, Weds, Fri), which is the default staff working pattern, but this role is suitable for flexible working and RAB welcomes requests for alternative working patterns.
- Please email info@rabsightloss.org for the full job specification before applying.
- Application will be by CV and covering letter.
- First round interviews on 20 April via Teams.
- Second round interviews on 27 April (socially distanced in person at Walford Hall)
