Richard refreshes the Outreach Resource Room

The closure of the hall and parking up of the minibuses has offered the opportunity to complete some large projects on site.

Unfortunately, Richard hasn’t been able to do a lot of driving recently. He does miss your smiling faces and hopes to see you again soon. He has been looking after the minibuses and the Hall, ready for when we can use them again.

One of the tasks he has performed is to separate the craft room and the Outreach Resource Room. A new partition wall has been put in place – built on a 4 by 2 frame with a perspex window at the top – and then whole room was given a fresh coat of powder blue paint. To finish off, a new white wall unit has been purchased and installed. This project was kindly funded by a donation from United Way UK.

The space is now nice and inviting and hopefully will offer a quieter place for relaxation, reading, or listening to music when the Hall re-opens.

“During the club’s period of closure I have been continuing to work, carrying out general maintenance and ensuring the buses are kept in running order. One of the tasks I was asked to do was to create a separate Resource Room from the elongated Craft Room used by Abby and her team.”

“I’ve also been keeping the garden up together as best I could during the summer. I have one or two ideas about revamping it during the coming spring, so hopefully when we’ve all had our jab and things get back to near-normal we will once again have somewhere pleasant to sit outside or to potter about in.”
